This practice is designed to help relax and recover from the internal shoulder rotation used most often in our dance style.
You'll need a strap and a blanket or towel for this practice.
Restorative Yoga is all about a "state of being" rather than a "state of doing".
These classes are designed to be relaxing and meditative while also providing the benefit of deep, passive stretching. Postures are held longer and props such as blankets, pillows and straps are used to fully support your body so you can focus on releasing deeper in both mind and body.
Restorative Yoga calms the sympathetic nervous system and lets the parasympathetic return to "rest and digest".
